so sick. i had this issue of thrasher and i probably stared at this pic more than others from whatever month in '96 this came out. phelp's late 90's "hellride" articles, while being one sided and self motivational, were often very inspiring. always urging the reader to ditch all consumer based responsibilities and traps of the work-a-day world in favor of a dharma-esque skate gypsy existence. say what you want about jake, but the dude can write.
